We got on the coach and transfered to malewa. We treking across African bush towards the malewa river gorge. When we entered the gorge we had to scramble over bolders for around two hours to reeach a crater pool were some people had a swim. We took a easyer root back from the gorge. Then we transfered to a hotel in nakuru were we had a celebration dinner.
Day 5
We left camp in hell gate and headed to longonot national park. On the way treking though the savannah we encountered African wildlife. We stopped for lunch at a Walter hole. We made good time and were in our new camp by 4 after covering 22km.
Day 6
We were up early to make sure we were one of the first groups on mt lonhonot as it can get very busy on Sundays.
Most of us made it to the top in undetsande 1.5 hours it was a challenging clime. When all.of us made it to the top some of the group when and walked the rim of mt longonot 2780m at its heights point. The rim was s very challenging with a lot of very narrow climes and descent.
Every one was back before 5.
We set off this morning In to hell’s gate national park. We had good weather not to hot. There was plenty of wild life on show.
We did around 18 km today the terrain was mostly flat with some hills. The last descent was sandy gulls and then we had to scramble up some more sandy gulls into camp at naiburta. With some grate views across the savannah. We will be spending two nights at this camp.
Everyone is getting a early night as tomorrow we shall be entering hells gate gorge.
We started off the day with a 3km trek to hells gate gorge. Were some of us abseiled into the gorge and those who did not scrambled down into the gorge. When all of us were in the gorge we freed though the gorge having to tackle some challenging natural obstructions with some of us needing more help than others.
Tomorrow we will be entering longonot national park and will be taking around 22km
